Basic Library Orientation is a 50-minute session that provides an introduction to the UWF Library Catalog and an overview of library collections and services. Each session covers locating books, journals, and other materials. Computers are available in the classroom so participants can use the Library Catalog and test what they have learned at the end of the session.
Basic Library Orientation is held in the Library Classroom (Room123A) of the John C. Pace Library. The Emerald Coast Campus Library also offers these. Sessions are open to all UWF students, staff, and faculty as well as the general public. These sessions are offered on a first-come, first-served basis; registration is not required.
UPDATE: Basic Library Orientation is now online! Does your schedule get in the way of attending a session? Basic Library Orientation is now available 24/7 online! Two versions of the quiz are available: Flash and Text-Only. Library Orientation Online covers the same content as the in-person sessions and also includes a quiz. Visit the Libraries' Online Tutorials page to go to either version.
