The Pensacola Heritage Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to insuring that Pensacola remembers its past through education and preservation. The Foundation strives to educate through lecture series, living histories, and historic tours. It has preserved some of Pensacola’s most treasured historic sites such as the Dorr House, the Barkley House, and Seville Square by promoting hands-on efforts to teach the skills and sensitivities of historic preservation through adaptive use. The Pensacola Heritage Foundation also promotes city and community awareness and pride through events such as “Evenings in Old Seville Square.” The Pensacola Heritage Foundation is an historical organization rather than a research facility. It does, however, maintain two original piano music books owned by Clara Barkley – circa 1850s. |
