Lu & Charlie’s Preservation Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to documenting, preserving, and promoting the legacy of African Americans.  Founded in 2000, the society, named for the famed New Orleans African American owned jazz club and restaurant in New Orleans, provides lectures, workshops, forums, concert tours, and resources to help informally teach African American history and culture on the Gulf Coast.
