This governmental depository houses historic to late twentieth century court cases, all marriage records, some naturalization records, will and probate documents, various documents and papers of past government officials, as well as a wealth of information about the British, French, and Spanish occupations of Pensacola, the lives of slaves and free people of color, Native Americans, and the changing ways of life in Pensacola during the last two centuries.  Much of the information is on microfilm.  Indexes also direct researchers to the locations of other such records not stored at the Archives.
