This governmental depository houses historic to late twentieth century
court cases, all marriage records, some naturalization records, will and
probate documents, various documents and papers of past government
officials, as well as a wealth of information about the British, French,
and Spanish occupations of Pensacola, the lives of slaves and free
people of color, Native Americans, and the changing ways of life in
Pensacola during the last two centuries. Much of the information is on
microfilm. Indexes also direct researchers to the locations of other
such records not stored at the Archives.
