ERIC (Educational Resources Information Center) is a comprehensive education index. Journals (EJ) and unpublished documents (ED) are indexed in this source. Topics relevant to psychology, such as school counseling, child development, and cognition are included. Most ERIC documents (ED) indexed from 1993 to the present may be retrieved in full-text online via ERIC E*Subscribe; the Cambridge version of ERIC provides direct links from the citation record to the E*Subscribe full-text document. PsycINFO. 1887- (ProQuest)
PsycINFO is a computerized version of a comprehensive index that contains abstracts of journal articles, books, and chapters of books in psychology. Links to some full-text articles are provided. The print version, Psychological Abstracts (Ref. BF 1 P65 & FWB), has been published since 1927 and is updated monthly. Identify pertinent subject descriptors using the Thesaurus of Psychological Index Terms (Ref. Desk BF 32 .T48 & FWB).

This multidisciplinary database provides access to journal articles in psychology and the other social sciences.


Social Sciences Citation Index. 1981- (Datastar)
This index provides access to journal articles in psychology, sociology, social work, and other related disciplines. The index may be searched by subject, author, or cited author. You must consult a reference librarian for access the DataStar service.


Sociological Abstracts. 1963- (Cambridge)
This computerized version of Sociological Abstracts (Ref. HM 1 .S67) provides citations to over 2,000 journals in sociology and related disciplines, including psychology. It also provides links to selected articles in full-text.

Important researchers in the field, biological analyses of the brain, emotional influences, and many other relevant subjects are contained in this source. This encyclopedia provides lengthy articles that "emphasize the various intersecting forces that constitute mental health." The encyclopedia is alphabetically arranged and each entry includes an outline, glossary, cross-references, and a bibliography. The entries cover a broad range of topics relating to mental health such as anger, depression, loneliness, menopause, and stress. An index in Volume 3 provides keyword access to the encyclopedia.

Over 2,000 fears and anxieties are described in this encyclopedia. A bibliography and an index are provided.

This highly inter-disciplinary, 26-volume encyclopedia set provides thousands of detailed articles written by 4,000 authors from over 50 countries, including 150 biographical entries of deceased scientists and scholars. The fully cross-referenced work also provides approximately 90,000 bibliographic references and concludes with comprehensive name and subject indexes. This new reference tool helps to supplement and update the information contained in MacMillan's classic, 18-volume International Encyclopedia of the Social Sciences (Ref. H 40 A2 I5) published in 1968.


Psychiatric Dictionary. 1989. (Ref. RC 437 H5 & FWB 1996)
