This is a plentiful resource for accessing teacher-made lessons and accompanying resources. Lessons are organized according to topic and grade level. These articulate lesson plans include clearly written objectives, a list of materials, well-written procedures, discussion questions, evaluation, extensions, vocabulary, suggested reading, and a list of academic standards that are met by the lesson. Under the "For Teachers" web pages in the "Custom Classroom," you can find a lesson planner, puzzlemaker, worksheet generator, and quiz center. (Users must register for access into Custom Classroom, but there is no charge.)

Launched in October of 1996, The Lesson Plans Page is a collection of over 1,000 lesson plans designed primarily at the elementary level. Kyle Yamnitz, students, and faculty at The University of Missouri developed lessons in the following subject areas: Math, Science, Music, Language Arts, Computers & Internet, Social Studies, Art, P.E., Health, Multi-Disciplinary, and other lessons. There are lesson plans and activities that elementary school teachers can use in their classrooms. College students can also gather example lesson plans or ideas as a basis for their own lesson plans.

This site has received many educational awards and is funded by a Bell Atlantic Foundation grant. Students and teachers can read international folk tales and fables in the story library. The six-trait analytical model provides assessment and feedback to students and teachers. Educators use the 6+1 Trait Writing Scoring Guide to help students improve their writing skills. The NW Regional Educational Laboratory has compiled lesson plans for grade levels from early elementary to high school. Lessons include a description of needed supplies and lesson description. The lessons are organized around the six writing traits: ideas, organization, voice, word choice, sentence fluency, and conventions. Users can search by grade level and specified writing trait.
