Census (U.S.) Data

   The Census Bureau issues five series of reports that include both population and housing statistics from the 1990 census. In addition to these combined report series, there are nine series that present detailed population and nine that present detailed housing statistics. The Census Catalog and Guide provides a complete description of each series. Reports are available in print, CD-ROM and online. Digital mapping is available through the Tiger File CD-ROM series which includes a public domain software program, Landview,  which allows the user to create and view thematic maps using the census data.  The UWF Library owns the 1990 in print.  Prior censuses are available on microfiche.  Only the 1990 census is available in CD-ROM. The 1990 and the 2000 census are available online.

This is one of five series comprising the official census. It includes summary data for population and housing, unit counts and summary statistics on age, sex, race, Hispanic origin, household relationship, units in structure, value and rent, number of rooms, tenure, and vacancy characteristics for local government units, other county subdivisions, and American Indian and Alaska Native areas. Additional print series as well as data on CD-ROM may be located using WebLUIS and are retained in the Governemnt Documents Department.

[Value Line Investment Survey]
Gives brief analyses and forecasts of over 100 industries. Each industry analysis is followed by detailed analyses of major companies in that industry. Use of the data base is restricted to current affiliates. See Librarian.


World Stock Exchange Fact Book. 1999. (Ref. HG 4551 W67)
Provides historical data for international stock exchanges as well as rules governing each exchange
