Census (U.S.) Data
The Census Bureau issues five series of reports that include both
population and housing statistics from the 1990 census. In addition to these
combined report series, there are nine series that present detailed population
and nine that present detailed housing statistics. The Census Catalog and Guide
provides a complete description of each series. Reports are available in print,
CD-ROM and online. Digital mapping is available through the Tiger File CD-ROM
series which includes a public domain software program, Landview, which
allows the user to create and view thematic maps using the census data.
The UWF Library owns the 1990 in print. Prior censuses are available on
microfiche. Only the 1990 census is available in CD-ROM. The 1990 and the
2000 census are available online.
