This encyclopedic dictionary of industrial relations terms also contains short summaries of major decisions of the Supreme Court and the National Labor Relations Board.

Identifies local, intermediate, national, and international unions. Also use  Gale's Ready Reference Shelf  by clicking on "Search by Subject" and entering "labor unions" to get about 15,000 matches or use more specific terms to limit the results.


National Trade and Professional Associations of the United States. 2003. (Ref. HD 2425 D53)
Gives brief descriptions and addresses for over 6,000 national trade associations, labor unions, professional, and scientific or technical societies


Professional and Occupational Licensing Directory. 1993. (Ref. HD 3630 U6 P76)
A descriptive guide to state and federal licensing, registration, and certification requirements arranged by vocation and indexed by state. A similar publication, the National Directory of State Business Licensing and Regulation (Ref. KF 1970 Z95 N38 1994), emphasizes business rather than occupational licenses.
