The UWF Libraries have multiple workstations that have attached image scanners that you can use to digitize documents, pictures, etc. The locations of these workstations are listed below along with a brief description of the types of materials that you can digitize.
Note: All machines with scanners have the FULL version of Adobe Acrobat software. You can use this software to view and edit PDF documents.
1st Floor
Three (3) scanners at the standup workstations near the Reference Desk. Maximum source document dimensions is 8.5 x 11 inches (letter sized).
2nd Floor
Three (3) scanners at the workstations near the Great Good Place. Maximum source document dimensions is 8.5 x 11 inches (letter sized).
5th Floor (Skylab)
Two (2) scanners attached to the Mac Pro workstations in room 519. Maximum source document dimensions is 8.5 x 11 inches (letter sized). Can scan transparencies, photographic slides, and negatives.
Two (2) large format scanners. One attached to the multimedia workstation in room 519, one attached to the scanning workstation off room 504. Maximum source document dimensions is 11 x 17 inches (tabloid sized). Can scan transparencies, photographic slides, and negatives.
One (1) scanner at the patron workstation near the Reference Desk. Maximum source document dimensions is 8.5 x 11 inches (letter sized).
One (1) scanner attached to the Mac Pro workstation. Maximum source document dimensions is 8.5 x 11 inches (letter sized). Can scan transparencies, photographic slides, and negatives.
