Overdue fines accrue at a daily rate. If an item is more than 30 days overdue, it will be declared lost, and you will be billed for the material. The list below covers the Pace Library's policies and charges regarding late and lost library materials.

*Please note that the term "per day maximum fine" means that for each day an item is late there is a maximum fine that can be charged per day. But the fines roll over for each day an item is delinquent. Ex: If a laptop is kept for 3 days the overdue fine will be $36, $12 a day for each day the laptop is overdue.
Fines may be paid in person or by mail at the Cashier's Office (Bldg. 20), University of West Florida, 11000 University Parkway, Pensacola, FL 32514. Fines may also be paid online through MyUWF.
If it is more cost effective, patrons may purchase a replacement copy of the lost book as long as it is the same edition or newer and in the same format.
If you have any questions regarding a library fine, please call the Billing Coordinator at (850-474-2414) or email us. If you feel you have been billed in error, please complete the Fine Appeal Form.
The current fine for monographs recalled by another user ($0.25 per day/per book up to $8 maximum fine, with a $2.00 recall fine) will be increased to $1.00 per day/per book up to $30.00 maximum fine, along with a $10.00 recall fine on July 1, 2013. Notice of fine increase posted on April 2, 2013.
