Some entries in the Library Catalog are for items that we have recently ordered or that we have not yet cataloged and/or processed. These materials, such as books, CDs and DVDs are not immediately available for check out. UWF faculty, students and staff may request that these items be rush-processed and held at the Circulation desks. Place a priority processing request for an item from the Library Catalog, through the title's holdings display. See example below:

In the example above, you will notice that the item Jonestown: the life and death of Peoples Temple is on order. If you wish to request this DVD, click on the Place a Hold link to the right of the item information. This utility requires that you sign-in with your Nautilus Card or Library Access Number if you have not already done so. You will then be presented with the screen below:

Once you have logged in, select the library where you'd like the material to be held for you and click on the “Place Request” button.

A note will indicate that your request has been successfully completed. Once the item your requested is processed, you will receive an email indicating the item is available for pick up.

You can check the status of any recall requests that you have submitted by accessing the “my account” option on the Library Catalog and clicking on the “view holds” link.
