Videos & DVDs
The DVD/Video collection, supporting the curriculum of the University of West Florida, is housed in the Circulation Department
located on the first floor of the John C. Pace Library. This growing collection includes educational titles pertinent to the
University’s academic departments, as well as influential (contemporary and classic) films.
Browsing/Searching the Collection
DVDs and Videos may be looked up in the UWF Library Catalog by keyword, subject, or title. Advanced searches in our catalog
will allow you to limit your searches by selecting Video or DVD in the format drop-down menu. Limiting the search by format and leaving the
search boxes blank will allow you to browse a list of the entire collection. |

Location
The video/DVD collection is located in the Circulation Department located on the first floor
of the main library.
Checking Out
Circulation Staff will retrieve the DVDs/Videos for you; simply provide us with the call number (VT or VD # displayed in the catalog).
Loan Policy
Library patrons may check out up to 3 DVDs/Videos at a time for 7 days. UWF Faculty may check out 10 DVDs/Videos at a time for 14 days.
Viewing Services

Videos and DVDs may be viewed in the library. VCR and DVD players are located on the first and second floors of the John C. Pace
Library. Earphones may be checked out at the Circulation Desk. |
Copyright
According to the Copyright Law, DVDs and Videos may not be copied, and they may not be shown to
large groups for entertainment purposes.
Faculty Services
To ensure that DVDs and videos are available for instructional use, faculty members may reserve them. To schedule a DVD or video to be placed on hold
at the library, please contact the Circulation Staff by telephone (474-2414) or email us rblasy@uwf.edu and
sfarry@uwf.edu
Selected videos and DVDs may also be placed on course reserve for more restricted access. Request course reserve services via our
online form.
