Basic Library Orientation is a 50-minute session that provides an introduction to the UWF Library Catalog and an overview of library collections and services. Each session covers locating books, journals, and other materials. Participants use the Library Classroom computers to practice using the catalog, and are given an online quiz at the end of the session.
Sessions are held in the Library Classroom (Room123A) of the John C. Pace Library. The UWF Emerald Coast Campus Library also offers these. Sessions are open to all UWF students, staff, and faculty as well as the general public. These sessions are offered on a first-come, first-served basis; registration is not required.
Basic Library Orientation Online. Basic Library Orientation is now online and available 24/7! Its content is the same as our in-person sessions and also includes the Library Basic Skills Quiz. Professors and instructors are welcomed to link to it through their classroom D2L/eLearning sites.
