MetaLib allows users to access databases, library catalogs, journal collections, and other information resources. These resources may be searched individually through the database’s native interface or, in many cases, searched simultaneously in groups.
Features

Find Database - The Metalib database list includes 287 resources that may be searched individually in each database’s native interface. Databases may be identified alphabetically by title, by words contained in the title, or by category.
Metasearch - search numerous databases to be searched simultaneously. There are 200 databases that may be searched in groups. The query is broadcast to each database, and a combined result list is displayed according to the results ' relevancy rank.
QuickSearch – search across several databases in categories such as environmental science, art, literature, etc. Users may also create their own categories to search selected databases simultaneously.
My Research - keep selected records in their personal eShelf for future use. Records are added to a folder. Users may create new folders, name them and move records into them.

Individual collections are titled by the personal name or organization that created the materials (e.g. Marion T. Gaines Papers or the Wallace Bruce Family Papers or Sacred Heart Hospital Archives). The collection may include manuscripts, correspondence, subject files, photographs, maps, diaries, scrapbooks, audio/video materials, and other items, which are arranged into series and folders, with the contents of each folder described. These inventories and overall collection descriptions make up this database.
