West Florida Photohistory Project
  • The West Florida Photohistory database contains thousands of photographs of the Bell Collection. Henry Bell operated a photograph studio in Pensacola 1911-1949, and these images are of Pensacola individuals, families, weddings, theatre actors, visitors to the area, politicians, and others. We hope to expand this project to include other images from the thousands of area photographs (lumbering, street scenes, historic buildings, fires, etc.) in Special Collections, but these are not yet online. The West Florida Photohistory Project is part of the PALMM (Publication of Archives, Libraries, and Museum Materials), a cooperative project of Florida's state universities.

  • UWF Special Collections Catalog: Holdings Database and Digital Archives (Archon) - Special Collections holds over 700 individual collections of manuscripts, personal papers, archives, business records, photographs, and other research sources. Each collection is described in the library catalog with subject and name access, however each collection has a far more detailed inventory describing the contents of folers, boxes, and individual items. These inventories are searchable through this database (Archon) permitting subject, personal name, and keyword search of all collections.

Lexis-Nexis Database
  • Corporate Affiliations from Lexis-Nexis-This database provides current, accurate corporate linkage information and company profiles on nearly 200,000 of the most prominent global public and private parent companies and their affiliates, subsidiaries and divisions—down to the seventh level of corporate linkage. Not only does Corporate Affiliations publish corporate family trees, the database also contains over 700,000 corporate contacts, 110,000 board members, 150,000 brand names and 140,000 competitors.

ACLS Humanities E-Book
  • ACLS Humanities E-Book-Humanities E-Book is a digital collection of over 1500 full-text titles offered by the ACLS in collaboration with twelve learned societies, nearly 90 contributing publishers, and librarians at the University of Michigan’s Scholarly Publishing Office. The result is an online, fully searchable collection of high-quality books in the Humanities, recommended and reviewed by scholars and featuring unlimited multi-user access and free, downloadable MARC records. HEB is available 24/7 on- and off-campus through standard web browsers.

ProQuest Database
  • ProQuest Civil War Era database provides a unique combination of newspapers and pamphlet collections covering the period of American history from 1840-1865. Through this combination of resources, not only will researchers and students be able to conduct primary research on the major events of the war, but they will also be able to trace the circumstances that led to the war during the twenty years prior to 1861. The database can be accessed through November 21st, using the password "uwfcivil."
