
The staff of the Cataloging Department (850-474-2454) on the first floor is responsible for providing bibliographic control to the UWF Library collections to support its learning, teaching, and research missions.

The cataloging staff catalogs and classifies monographs, electronic resources, sound and video recordings, microforms, manuscript collections, and other special materials acquired for the John C. Pace Library, the Emerald Coast Campus Library, the Curriculum Library, and the Music Library.
The cataloging staff maintains the Libraries’ online public catalog and a quality bibliographic database.
The cataloging staff provides authority control for new names, subjects and series in order to maintain consistent use of various headings in the library catalog.
The cataloging staff provides labeling and physical processing of library materials for circulation and patron use.
